How it works

- When heavy rain, flood or another seasonal risk is forecast, you get a short message telling you what to do and when.

How do I get SACEP Kenya farmer alerts?
Fill in the signup form on this page with your name, phone number and ward, choose WhatsApp or SMS, and tick the consent box. The SACEP Kenya team adds you to the alert list — at launch, alerts are sent manually by our staff, not by an automated system.
Are SACEP Kenya alerts official weather warnings?
No. SACEP Kenya alerts support official warnings — they do not replace them. Always follow alerts from the Kenya Meteorological Department and your county government. Our messages translate warnings into practical steps for your farm.
Does it cost anything?
No. Receiving alerts by WhatsApp or SMS is free. You need a phone that can receive SMS at minimum; WhatsApp messages need a smartphone and data.
What is done with my phone number?
Your number is used only to send you SACEP Kenya farmer alerts. It is stored by the SACEP Kenya team, never sold or shared for marketing, and you can ask to be removed at any time. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
How do I stop the alerts?
Reply to any alert message asking to be removed, or WhatsApp or call us on 0722 308 085 and we will take you off the list.
